WARNING: Spoilers ahead for upcoming Emmerdale scenes airing from Monday 30th June on ITV1!
It’s another week in the Dales and Paddy Dingle (Dominic Brunt) finds himself in a harrowing ordeal, but the real heartbreak comes not from his injuries, but from a brutal betrayal closer to home.
In tense scenes, Paddy spots a sheep caught in a fence on Celia’s (played by Jaye Griffiths) land and rushes to help. But just moments after freeing the animal, Paddy’s good deed turns into a nightmare when an aggressive dog appears and launches a vicious attack. Bear steps in to save his son from the animal, but the damage is done. Paddy is left seriously wounded and rushed to the hospital, leaving Bear and Mandy anxiously waiting for news.

While Mandy tries to comfort a shaken Bear, the mood takes a shocking turn. Bear uses Paddy’s near-death experience to air long-held grievances, leaving Mandy horrified. She wastes no time in booting Bear out of the room, but it’s too late. His words have struck a nerve.
As Paddy quietly sobs, clearly internalising his father’s harsh judgment, Mandy desperately tries to lift his spirits. But the emotional wounds run deep. Back home, things go from bad to worse. Even on his birthday, Paddy can’t shake the growing cloud of despair. Not even Marlon’s well-meaning visit helps. In a chilling moment, viewers will see Paddy retrieve the vet’s bolt gun and leave the house with grim determination…
Can Paddy find a way back from the brink? Or has Bear’s cruel honesty pushed him beyond saving?
