Susan continues observing Saskia’s clinginess toward her. Alarmed to learn that Jane has a behaviour report on her from her previous school, Saskia manipulates it to construct a more flattering narrative. After reading the doctored report, Jane confirms to Susan that Saskia was on the receiving end of bullying. However, Saskia’s investment in Susan only increases. Growing uncomfortable, Susan notifies Saskia that she’s no longer needed at Eirini. Hurt, Saskia sneaks into the Kennedy backyard… up to no good.
Remi admits to Susan that her whole life makes sense without Cara. Meanwhile, Cara fears that Remi might never want to reconnect, but Karl urges her to hold onto hope. When Remi is given the all-clear to go home, Cara is sad to learn that Remi only wants to live with Dex and JJ. Though Remi accepts Cara means no harm, she is still a stranger to Remi. Despite not wanting to distress Remi, Cara doesn’t feel comfortable moving away from her sons, proposing that she and Remi have separate bedrooms.
With words of wisdom from Nicolette, Byron tells Jane of his plan to leave Erinsborough. Jane is overwhelmed by the news and pleads with Byron to delay. Seeing how pained his mother is, Byron decides he won’t go at all. Believing her brother is making the wrong decision, Nicolette urges Byron to consider his own happiness too, leaving Byron with food for thought.
Lassiters is triumphant in poaching the International Jewellery Exhibition. Although Krista and Annalise agree to head up separate projects – the Bronze Bell and the Exhibition respectively – tensions continue to simmer. Annalise returns to Ramsay Street, roping in Karl to help fast-track permit approval for the treasure hunt. The next day, Karl delivers disappointing news – it’s not looking good… leaving Annalise
