Christmas is here in Carrigstown, Ding, Dong and Merry to all…

It’s an emotional Christmas Day in Carrigstown as Hayley and Sharon set off to scatter Anto’s ashes. Meanwhile, Emma is suspicious when James acts secretive over the gift he bought baby Anthony.

James, unenthusiastic about helping at the shelter, lies to Pete to sneak off and take over as Santa. In costume, he advises Hayley to reconcile with the baby’s father, but she quickly sees through the act. Sympathising with their difficult day, Emma invites Sharon, Hayley, and Ger for Christmas dinner. Later, Hayley is overcome when she spots James’s actual gift: a framed photo of Anto and the baby.

Paul is neck-deep in lies, claiming he turned down JJ’s offer. To get back in good books, Paul commissions Lorcan for a Vinos mural and sweetens up JJ with a bottle of the stolen wine. Paul insists they push ahead with money laundering. But trouble looms when Steo spots the wine and questions JJ. Carol is moved by JJ’s romantic trip gift. Steo tries to turn JJ off Paul, calling him a ‘headcase,’ but JJ is unconvinced.

Kira becomes wary when Nikki jokes about being like family with Sean. When Kira overhears Darren and Kim wishing Sean was their stepdad, she assumes Nikki is behind it and warns her off. Nikki winds her up by saying she does want to go for Sean. In a bid to play Cupid, Darren steals Sean’s phone and deletes a recent date’s chat. The tension escalates when Nikki finds Kim has Pete’s missing locket. Cass reveals Darren and Kim’s scheme to Nikki, who is insulted by Kira’s implication. Nikki and Sean agree they must talk to the kids. Kira apologises. Sean tells the children he is their friend, not their dad, and they share a hug.

Separately, Pete is aghast when Dolores gives him a fancy trip, forcing him to admit he lost her original gift. Babs helps smooth things over, confirming Kim returned the locket.
