In a series of explosive upcoming episodes, Coronation Street icon Sue Devaney takes center stage as Debbie Webster finally prepares to walk down the aisle.
Fans are used to Debbie Webster doing things with a certain flair, but her upcoming wedding to Ronnie takes ‘high fashion’ to a whole new level. Sue opens up about the ‘no expense spared’ vision for Debbie’s big day.
Debbie Webster doesn’t do things by halves. When asked about her dream wedding, Sue reveals that Debbie is looking for a “big extravaganza.”
‘She wants everything: flowers, flamingos, big hair, peacocks, a big dress, the works,’ Sue says. ‘I think she wants the works. And I think because she feels that this might be the last massive party that she has, she wants to do it in style. No expense spared.’
When it came to the bridal look, Sue had a very specific brief for the wardrobe department: ‘I said, ‘I just want to look like a Joan Collins from Rochdale.’ And they delivered brilliantly.
I wanted that shape, you know, because I like the feathers and that kind of 50s shape with big shoes and a big feather headdress.’
