After John’s ashes are delivered, Robert and Aaron are clueless about what to do with them. Noticing the ashes, Tracy’s quick to claim possession of them in a bid to avenge Nate. When Vic arrives and notices the ashes are missing, she’s confused to learn that Robert left the bar with Tracy and John’s remains.
In the pub toilets, Tracy and Robert are squeezed in a cubicle and in a fit of wild-eyed resolve, Tracy prepares to pour John’s ashes down the toilet, convincing a reluctant Robert to let her gain catharsis. Dismayed, Victoria and Aaron arrive just as the ashes are flushed away. Victoria is mortified by the inhumane act and she runs away crying.
Also this week, Aaron’s concerned that Robert’s had a breakdown when he finds him on his knees in Annie’s Field.
When Robert presents Aaron with a piece of the original ‘Emmerdale Farm’ sign, he’s hit with a wave of optimism and renews his focus on getting both his family and his farm back
