It’s the morning of Cain’s operation. Cain and Moira are each trying to be strong for each other. Whilst over at the cafe Kyle is having breakfast and worried about his dad’s impending operation. Soon in the hospital, Cain is wheeled off into surgery and Kyle panics. Before long it’s clear Cain’s prostate surgery operation went well, but his relief is short-lived when he is confronted with the reality of his catheter.
Dr. Todd is attending her father’s funeral and Jacob begins to worry the feud with Todd may have gone a little too far. Jacob later tells Sarah he feels guilty for how nasty things got, but Sarah reminds him Todd made his life a misery. Hoping to move on, Jacob visits Dr. Todd to offer condolences for her father’s funeral and apologises for their past conflict. When Todd accepts the apology Jacob dares to hope that they’ve made progress.
Later, in the pub, Mary plays matchmaker and pushes Vanessa to ask out Dr. Todd. Todd accepts and the pair set up a date. Just when Jacob thinks their relationship has stabilised, Todd suggests she’s privy to a secret that could make his life hellish.
At the Depot, newly employed Bear and Mandy are part of the workforce and Jai introduces a ‘Productivity Chart’ competition which Bear wins. However, Jai’s words inadvertently trigger a traumatic flashback to Bear’s time at the farm.
