No hitting himself in the face with a brick for Chesney on Corrie this week, as Tyrone is goaded, by Ross, into an argument and lashes out.

The trouble kicks off when, after Tyrone discovers a bruise on Dorin, who said Aled punched him, Ross goads him into confronting Chesney and Gemma about Aled’s alleged bullying. Tyrone visits them and tells them Dorin won’t be at the quads’ party.
When Ross arrives, he purposely ignites a row between Tyrone and Chesney. Tyrone, desperate to prove he isn’t a pushover, punches Chesney. While Tyrone is filled with immediate regret, Ross validates the violence.
Alan Halsall, who has played Tyrone for over 25 years, shared his thoughts on the situation saying:
‘I think Tyrone would have probably spoken to Fiz about it and said, “Look, we probably just need to have a quick word with Ches and nip this in the bud early.” It would have all been friendly, saying, “Hey Ches, just keep your eye on this, kids are gonna be kids,” and that would be the end of it.’

‘But with Ross in his ear, he feels like he has to make a point, make a stand, and show that he’s the man of the house, which certainly isn’t Tyrone!
‘Ross continuously drip-feds him things like, “Ty, you need to stand up for yourself, you need to stand up for your family.” Even though Tyrone initially sees it as a small thing where kids will be kids, Ross keeps telling him, “Come on, stand up for yourself, you can’t let this go on, tell Chesney.’
‘Then, once Chesney looks at Tyrone and says, “Come on mate, what are you doing? This is ridiculous,” that gets Tyrone’s back up because he feels he has to do it to show his dad. He’s basically caught in the middle of it and causes a row that would never have happened prior to Ross being there.’
Later, with the Rovers’ Halloween party in full swing, Fiz reminds Tyrone that he owes Chesney an apology. Gemma and Chesney arrive at the party.
Will Tyrone apologise or is this the start of a new feud?
