A year on from his death in S4C’s Rownd a Rownd, actor Kevin Williams is swapping Glanrafon for sunshine and cocktails as the presenter of the reality series Bar Hansh.
Set on the famous party strip of Zante, the series follows six young Welsh contestants as they take on the challenge of running a Welsh bar on the island.
This year’s competition also raises the stakes, with contestants able to build a prize pot worth up to £10,000. The final total will depend on their performance in a series of challenges.

But at the end of each week, the contestants must vote among themselves to sack one member of the team.
As presenter, Kevin will be on hand to guide viewers through every challenge, setback and success as the contestants navigate life and work in one of Europe’s most famous holiday destinations.
And the series marks a major new chapter in his television career, stepping into a presenting role for the first time after 27 years as Kelvin in Rownd a Rownd.

Speaking about landing the role, Kevin said: “The opportunity came out of the blue, to be honest. I thought it was a prank call from one of my friends at first. I didn’t quite believe it until I got an official email afterwards, and that’s when I realised this definitely wasn’t a prank call!”
“I’ve had the opportunity to do something different to acting. I’ve come out to Zante to present Bar Hansh, so I’ll be the bar’s boss out in Zante and I’m looking forward to it.
The hardest part was being myself. I’m used to acting as Kelvin Walsh for so many years. I wasn’t Kelvin here, I was myself.”
Bar Hansh will broadcast on Hansh’s YouTube channel, S4C, S4C Clic and BBC iPlayer at 10pm from 27 October.
