Soldier Soldier comes to the Drama channel

The 90’s brought us many wonderful and memorable shows one of which was Soldier Soldier that ran for 7 series between 1991 and 1997.

The series followed soldiers in ‘B’ Company, 1st Battalion The King’s Fusiliers, an infantry regiment in the British army.

An episode in Series 4 helped launch the career of fellow actors Robson Green and Jerome Flynn into stardom following a performance of “Unchained Melody”

The duo went on to achieve several number ones and even a best selling album, at the end of Series 5 they both departed the show.

Some may recognize Miles Anderson from the more recent action show “Ultimate Force” where he played Colonel Aiden Dempsey for 4 series.

Jerome Flynn has gone on to star in shows such as Ripper Street and currently can be seen as Bronn in Game of Thrones both of which he has been nominated for awards.

From starting out as Jimmy the porter in Casualty Robson Green has achieved similar success across the tv world with shows as Extreme Fishing with Robson Green for 3 years and roles in Waterloo Road and Being Human He can currently be seen playing Geordie Keating in ITV’S Grantchester a show that is soon to return for a 4th series.

Soldier Soldier begins on the 29th May on Drama at 4pm
