This week in Shieldinch… Caitlin is determined not to let anything ruin the grand opening of the Tall Ship; Scarlett wants to start driving lessons again but Dougie’s not keen, and April Fool’s Day pranks are no laughing matter for Bob and Angus’ friendship.
With her name finally above the door, the long-awaited reopening of the Tall Ship is a chance for Caitlin to silence her critics. Despite feeling overwhelmed, Caitlin rejects Maggie’s offers of help, determined to go it alone.
Keen to impress Barry, Ruby steals a bottle of vodka from the pub and the pair go off drinking. When Caitlin notices stock is missing she automatically blames Nicole before catching the culprits red-handed. Caitlin enlists the help of Sgt Joe Dunn with her unruly teenager but gets more than she bargained for with the new policeman in town.
With all eyes on Caitlin, the pressure of the day gets to her as the grand opening hangs in the balance.
Elsewhere, an invigorated Scarlett decides to take up driving again and tries to enlist the help of a reluctant Dougie to be her instructor. With tensions running high between pupil and teacher, the couple’s engagement could hit the skids.
Bob fails to see the funny side of things when Angus and Lou pull an April Fool’s trick on him. In an attempt to get his own back, Bob enlists Kim’s help to play a sexy joke on Angus.
