Emmerdale fans, brace yourselves! A new face from the iconic Sugden family is set to make his mark in the village, promising a whole lot of drama and secrets. Oliver Farnworth, known for his roles in Coronation Street and Hollyoaks, will be stepping into the shoes of John Sugden, a mysterious newcomer with a hidden past.

John’s arrival is expected to turn Victoria Sugden’s (played by Isabel Hodgins) world upside down. As the only remaining Sugden in Emmerdale, she’ll be caught in a whirlwind of emotions as she grapples with the secrets John brings with him. What is his relationship to Victoria? And what impact will he have on her life? Only time will tell…

“We are thrilled to have an actor with Oliver’s talent and presence join the Emmerdale family,” Emmerdale’s Producer, Laura Shaw, revealed. “The Sugden’s have always been central to Emmerdale, and introducing a new member opens up exciting possibilities for future storylines. Mysterious John’s arrival will no doubt create a stir in the village for Victoria and the wider community.”

Oliver himself is just as excited to be joining the Dales drama: “I am absolutely delighted to be joining the cast of Emmerdale. The show has such a rich history, and the Sugden family is integral to that. I’m looking forward to bringing my character to life and working with such a talented and dedicated team.”

And it’s not just Victoria who’ll be affected by John’s arrival. Sparks are set to fly as he catches the eye of another unsuspecting villager, adding another layer of intrigue to his already enigmatic persona.
