It’s going to be an emotional week for Carla Connor as her relationship with Lisa becomes more complex than ever. Viewers have watched the two women grow close over the past few weeks, bonding over shared vulnerabilities, but this week, a charged moment leaves Carla questioning her feelings.

With Carla struggling after her split from Peter and Lisa still navigating life as a widow and mother, the pair have formed an unlikely but powerful friendship. But as a simple touch between them feels unexpectedly electric, Carla wonders if Lisa felt it too. Could this be the start of something more?

Alison King, who plays Carla, hints that things are about to get complicated: “There’s a bond growing between them that Carla can’t quite define. Lisa’s been a real support for her, but this moment leaves her a little confused about what she’s really feeling.”

As if that wasn’t enough, Carla’s week takes a darker turn when she faces court for knocking a lad off his bike – a rash decision she made trying to protect someone close to her. “She’s spinning plates right now,” says King. “With everything going on—losing Peter, nearly losing Roy—it’s all building up. She’s putting her trust in new people like Ryan and Bobby, but there’s a part of her that’s just lost.”

After the court case, Carla’s world unravels even further when the lad’s dad follows her back to the factory and becomes aggressive. Alison explains, “She’s pushed to the edge. She’s had a horrible day, dealing with so much already, and when this guy shows up, threatening her, it’s terrifying. Carla tries to flee, but then Lisa steps in to protect her. It’s a big moment.”

To top off her bad day, a letter arrives that hits Carla hard—it’s her divorce from Peter, finally coming through. “That letter rocks her,” reveals Alison. “It sends her spiralling, and she turns to drink, feeling incredibly low. She’s tough, but even she has her breaking points.”

As Carla drowns her sorrows, Lisa appears again, checking on her friend and further deepening their connection. “Lisa coming around means so much to Carla,” King shares. “It’s been a long time since she’s had a female friend she can lean on. Lisa’s presence is becoming something Carla relies on, even though she’s not sure what this friendship is turning into.”

Alison King also praised working with Vicky, who plays Lisa, saying, “I’m loving working with Vicky. This friendship is bringing out a vulnerable side in both of them that we don’t often see. It’s a confusing dynamic for Carla, and she’s not sure what to make of it yet.”

With tension rising between Carla and Lisa, and Betsy causing more chaos in their lives, next week promises plenty of drama. Could this growing bond be more than just friendship? Don’t miss what happens next!
