David is back in Walford this week, arriving to support Bianca after hearing alarming concerns about her mental health. After a tense chat with Kat, David realises how serious Bianca’s situation is. Bianca insists that Reiss is a murderer, leading David to confront him directly. However, he’s quickly sidetracked when he comes face-to-face with a ghost from his past – Cindy Beale, alive and standing right in front of him. Cindy is left rattled by David’s return and confides in George, who advises her to face her fears head-on. Meanwhile, Denise returns early after hearing shocking news about Pastor Clayton, and a heart-to-heart with Yolande triggers a guilty confession about her lies to Jack. Kat tries to soothe Tommy’s mood after Alfie forgets their football plans, while Ian hints at a possible second marriage with Cindy.

David is in shock after his unexpected reunion with Cindy and has plenty of questions. Ian, horrified by David’s return, scrambles to make amends with Anna and reveals he has big plans for Cindy. Elsewhere, Tommy Moon’s misguided attempt to steal money from the café backfires when Kathy catches him red-handed. Kat’s attempt to discipline Tommy later spirals out of control when he becomes physically intimidating. Jack, struggling to balance caring for Amy, is grateful for Penny’s support, but a tactless comment from Jack sparks a huge row, shattering the fragile peace.

David tries to be there for Bianca as she agrees to seek professional help for her mental health, but old habits die hard. When life in Walford starts to get tough, David makes plans to leave once again, leaving Bianca in the lurch. Meanwhile, Tommy’s behaviour continues to cause chaos, with Phil left stunned by his rudeness. Tensions between Kat and Tommy reach boiling point as she confronts him about stealing from the café. Over at the Branning house, Denise plays peacemaker between Jack and Penny, determined to fix their strained relationship. Jack’s heartfelt speech leaves Denise touched as he thanks her for everything she’s done for their family.
