When Krista wonders if Fallon’s happy for her and Leo, Leo offers to sound Fallon out. But while Krista agrees, she’s feeling on the outer. By the lake, Leo comforts Fallon as she opens up about her ex-fiancé, but when Krista sees Leo put an arm around Fallon, she’s thrown. When Leo returns home, Krista laments that she wishes she was closer to Fallon and the next day, tries to get Fallon to open up to her. But Fallon deflects, instead offering to contact Sebastian for her to return the hoodie he left in the apartment. While she does, Krista goes to see Paul who agrees to walk her down the aisle. Paul encourages Krista to be patient in building a connection with Fallon.
Later, Krista is surprised to run into a much healthier Sebastian, who says that when Fallon contacted him, he couldn’t stay away. Over coffee with Fallon at the Complex, Krista tells Sebastian that Leo’s the one she wants to be with, and he seems accepting. But then Taye catches Fallon texting Leo to meet her at the Complex and Taye’s concern over her machinations grows. When Leo arrives after Fallon’s text and sees Sebastian, he snaps, accosting him. A horrified Krista rushes over, begging Leo to stop, as a smug Fallon watches on.
After Paul and Roxy leave to give Toadie and Nell space to grieve over Big Kev’s passing, Terese tells Toadie about Nell’s upcoming exhibition and Toadie admits his grief to a sympathetic Terese. Later, Toadie tells Karl the news, who reminds Toadie that he and Susan will always be there for him. When Toadie tells Terese he will be taking Hugo and Angie to America and would like Nell to stay with her, she cautiously mentions the idea of Paul moving in. But Toadie says no; if Paul moves in, Nell moves out. Terese breaks the bad news to Paul, who is disappointed but not surprised.
After talking to Maddy on the phone, Nicolette and Cara have a slight thaw. Meanwhile, in Harold’s, Karl approaches Remi, asking for a new prescription for his painkillers. Remi obliges but notes the strong dosage. Karl has an excuse ready, but later while supporting Toadie, Nell, and Terese, Karl pops another pill, his dependence growing.
Shane, Andrew and Holly confront Max, arguing they need him to trust them, but Max is worried about the danger they’re now in. Paul agrees that Max can stay at the hotel as it’s the safest place for him. Feeling helpless and like a sitting duck, Max lashes out at Holly although Roxy defends her. But as Max and Holly make-up, Roxy gets a text from Lachie asking to catch up and she happily replies, having no idea of the threat she’s bringing to Max’s doorstep…
