Monday

Abigail and Mali excitedly talk about their plans to live together soon. Surprisingly, Levi’s unfazed, or just not listening. He’s worried about Mackenzie – unaware she’s downloading to Tane about how obsessed she’s become with the idea of starting a family. Although she’s concerned Levi won’t be on the same page. Mackenzie continues to brush off Levi’s questions, until the tone gets serious and in a moment of frustration, she blurts out that she wants a baby. After some thought, Levi expresses his main concern – is this a knee-jerk reaction to what happened to her in Queensland? Maybe they should give it some time?

Harper arrives home early from her trip, and attempts to surprise Tane, but he seems emotionless as he takes in her presence, which cuts deep. Dana hears that Harper’s home early and excitedly exclaims the news to the others. Eliza overhears, intense in her interest, asking if the baby has been born yet. Dana’s unsure about who Eliza even is, let alone why she’s so interested in her sisters upcoming caesarian.

Dana interrupts a dinner between Harper and Tane, that was completely void of chemistry and Harper confesses that she didn’t really invite her over to talk about wedding stuff. She needed a buffer. Being alone with Tane was just too… awkward. Things are looking a little chilly between the bride and groom to be.

Eliza nearly walks in on Roo as she unpacks the music box filled with concerning artefacts. Able to cover with the excuse of delivering text books, Roo also conceals the reverberating shock of her findings. Frustration builds under the surface, and she struggles to suppress her irritability when Eliza is insistently asking when they can visit Harper. Later, in her room, Eliza goes through her treasures, but she’s quick to realise the knife is missing. There’s only one person who could have found it. She bursts into Salt, screaming at Roo to give her the knife back.

Tuesday

Kirby seeks out distraction while she waits to hear about the next steps of getting her songs back. But Bree let’s slip that Forrest has been in touch with Justin and Kirby rushes out the door to meet Justin at Salt, where he breaks the good news to Kirby. Forrest has given her the songs back.

Meanwhile Remi and Bree arrive home, finding an envelope on the doorstep full of money for Remi. It’s from Sonny, making efforts to finally paying his debt. But where is he getting all this money?

Eliza charges out of Salt, enraged, trailed by Roo as she desperately tries to reason with her. On her way out of the house, with her belongings stashed in a backpack, Eliza is finally convinced to at least talk Roo through the items in the music box and explain why there’s no real cause for concern. Eliza explains there are sentimental stories attached to each item, and they tug on Roo’s heartstrings. Later, Harper takes Eliza for a walk to Salt, in the hopes of getting through to her and providing some support. Despite her effort to focus on the girl, the conversation keeps swinging back to the baby. Eliza’s fascination is intense and undeniable. Harper lets her feel the baby kicking, which is when Tane walks in. He plays it cool, joining them on their table, but is privately troubled by Eliza’s behaviour.

Tane convinces Harper to take a step back from Eliza. When Roo has to break this news, Eliza’s rattled. The one person she felt a connection to, who she was forming trust with, has retreated. Deeply troubled, Eliza sets ablaze the teddy she bought for the baby and watches it burn in a barrel, taking satisfaction in the flames as they twist around the bear’s innocent face.

Wednesday

Marilyn and Leah struggle to withhold the fact John is keeping his distance from Irene to avoid interfering with her recovery. Marilyn thinks it’s pretty unfair they have to lie to Irene’s face and she cracks when given a little push from Irene to get the truth out.

Bree convinces Remi that it’s time to patch things over with Sonny, especially with the money coming back to him. Sonny‘s both suprised and unnerved but can Mr. Confidence face this confrontation? Remi doesn’t make it easy, confronting him over kissing his girlfriend. Sonny confesses that maybe he wanted to take something away from Remi, but the conversation starts backsliding when Remi asks where he got the money from, his tone heavily implying he doesn’t think it’s anywhere good.

Sonny tries to convince Theo to sell his car but the conversation gets heated quick, Theo determined to chase big money in street racing and is willing to take the risk depsite Sonny raising concerns. Justin overhears the grave warning from Sonny, that Theo‘s likely to get seriously hurt. Justin’s not entirely sure what’s going on but is intent on interrogating Theo. Theo gives Justin a half truth – Sonny wants him to sell his car. Theo gets a text from Lacey but when they meet, her intentions are hard to read. She draws him in with a seductive allure, only to whisper that Gage is not happy with him. He doesn’t know about them, but he’s not a fan of Theo racing with his own car.

Gage visits the garage, searching for Theo, but it’s Justin working and he clocks the Blood and Sand tattoo. Sonny’s also looking for Theo, and is jarred to stumble upon him and Lacey kissing in her car but manages to leap to action to divert an approaching Kirby. Meanwhile, Justin shares his concerns of Sonny leading Theo down a dangerous path with Leah, landing all the blame on Sonny of involvement with the River Boys. With Lacey’s advice in mind, Theo reaches out to Gage, and is given the opportunity to race again, as long as it’s not in his own car. Theo, eagre to test out his new wheels, says no deal.

Thursday

Lacey and Gage stop by the garage and check out Theo’s wheels. After some negotiation and Lacey’s input, Gage finally gives in and allows Theo to race his car. From the garage, they make their way toward the beach, crossing with Cash out the front of Salt. Cash reminds them that they’re banned from the establishment, and warning he could ban them from the beach too. Not shy of authority, the couple saunter off.

John barges in on Cash and Eden, interrupting their alone time on the hunt for a wedding chat with Tane. John reminds Cash he’s got a speech to write, but Cash struggles to find the words, and is soon drowning in scrunched up failed-attempts. Justin notifies Cash of the River Boy hanging around looking for Theo, and something about it’s not sitting right. Cash wanders over to the garage to see if he can get more information out of Theo himself. Theo attempts to be dismissive, but Cash knows something’s up.

While Cash is out looking for Theo, Eden takes a peek at his speech attempts. There’s really not much to work with. While Cash is snooping around, placing a tracker on the River Boys’ car, Eden has managed to write up an entire speech. When Cash reads it, he admits it’s beautiful. It’s just not true. Cash simply can’t get past the fact that the groom’s not even a little bit in love.

At work, Irene takes the workload as Leah struggles over Theo’s River Boy involvement. Irene rushes out to meet John standing in the dining area. She wraps him in a warm embrace and apologises for chasing him out of town. John understands and they’re friendship is as strong as ever. But when John finds out Irene’s still not going to Harper’s wedding, he feels he must intervene, making a bunch of promises to get Irene to change her mind. But will it be enough?

Friday

Tane joins Dana and Harper as they chat about the wedding, but the energy in the room is uncomfortable. As they talk, Tane realises they’ve got a wedding rehearsal soon, and he hasn’t even told Cash. Dana, to the rescue, marches over to find the best man. The rehearsal is dry, and Tane doesn’t give Harper a practise kiss. Dana gifts Harper a lovely blue necklace, to be her ‘something blue’. It’s bittersweet, because as lovely as it is, it can’t change the fact that Tane doesn’t love her. In an emotional moment, Harper finds herself going through Tane’s box of mementos from his wedding to Felicity. His smile in a photo affirms her biggest concern. This time around, he’s not in love.

Levi catches Mackenzie on her way to work, worried by her distance since their discussion about wanting a baby, but she brushes him off. The next morning, she’s no less avoidant. Levi pushes and she’s worried they might be headed on two very different directions in life. She gives him no chance to argue, rushing out the door. Levi shares his reservations about parenthood with Eden who’s also been thinking about marriage again and has decided to ask Cash to marry her. With his sister’s strong resolve in mind, Levi decides maybe it’s time to get serious about the future. He rushes to Salt and pulls Mackenzie onto the balcony, announcing that she is all that he can see in his future. And he wants to have a baby with her.

Also ready to move forward with her plans, Eden asks Cash over. He’s oblivious to her jittery energy, and announces he also has something he wants to talk to her about, but he’s clearly preoccupied. Eden senses it might not be the right moment, and puts her focus into consoling Cash while he worries about what he might say to Tane.

Harper finally works up the nerve to confront Tane herself. He never seems excited about their wedding. How is she supposed to know he’s telling the truth when he says he is? His reassurances are not enough, and Harper can’t hide that she’s feeling devastated, even when Irene reveals she’s decided to come to the wedding after all. Dana gets her to open up, one on one, and Harper tells her about Tane’s smile in his wedding photo with Felicity. Is the security Tane offers still enough for Harper?
