Corrie airs at 8.30pm on ITV1
Back in February, Coronation Street teased us with a flashforward that revealed Betsy had discovered a body. In scenes that followed we were given at least five possible murder victims. Megan, Maggie, Carl, Theo and Jodie.
Now a brand new trailer has been released as we approach the murderous event.
Someone will breathe their last on the night of Carla Connor and Lisa Swain’s wedding…but who?
The stylish promo, directed by Suri Krishnamma, features Theo Silverton, Carl Webster, Jodie Ramsey, Megan Walsh and Maggie Driscoll dressed in funeral attire as they join together to walk down the famous cobbles.
They turn the corner into Rosamund Street and are met by none other than funeral director George Shuttleworth (Tony Mawdsley) in front of a hearse. As he turns to look at the five villains he holds up a funeral wreath in the shape of a question mark.
Across five nights later this month viewers will revisit the same day but each episode will be seen from the perspective of a different potential victim. At the end of the week Betsy Swain will find one of them dead and the hunt to find the killer will begin.
“Murder week” begins on Monday April 27th on ITV and ITVX.
