Home and Away airs on 5STAR at 6:30pm

Tane stands alone, watching other prisoners exercise in the courtyard. One of the guards, Peterson, tries to encourage him to socialise – prison is lonely enough as it is. But Tane is resolved and remains on the outer. Later, Peterson walks him to make his phone call – and he dials Harper. She’s frustrated with him, pointing out how much worse he has made everything, but he knows how little time he has on the phone. He makes her promise never to bring Archie to see him here. Reluctantly, Harper agrees. Afterwards, she speaks with Mackenzie and Jo who are going to visit him tomorrow and will advocate for an Archie visit. The next day, Tane’s thrilled to see them, but refuses the idea of his son visiting. He’s disheartened by Kerrie getting away, but Mackenzie’s cryptic in how she holds out hope – there’s more than one way to skin a cat. She leaves Tane for a private moment with Jo, who is overwhelmed by what a prison visit entails, suddenly unsure she can handle it if this is what their relationship looks like now.

David interviews Brax, clarifying that someone else confessed to the murder he was convicted of, and wants to know – why is he turning himself in ten years later? Brax justifies – they caught the guy that did it, so he assumed there was no need. Besides, he has a family to consider and wants to move on… for them. That’s something David relates to. David wraps it up and Cash updates Ricky – Brax will be released for the night but will see the magistrate first thing tomorrow. As Brax departs the police station, he mentions he’s visiting from Western Australia – which pings for David, who realises Cash and Brax are connected. The next day, the Braxton family cross their fingers as David takes Brax to court. They return with good news – Brax is free to go. It’s the best result he could’ve hoped for and he takes a moment for a parting word with Cash – each respectful of their different perspectives. Brax celebrates with his family – there’s no more hiding, no more rules, and he and Ricky kiss, which Casey reacts to – gross!

While Brax is with the police, Ricky shows Casey around the Bay. They get a proper introduction to Remi, who thanks Casey for helping him in the street. They go up to Salt where Ricky explains she and Brax used to run the place. Mackenzie’s lifted by Casey’s energy and Ricky gives her some humorous but encouraging, parental advice.

Justin gets permission from Remi and Eden to take back the Lyrik van. He’s going to operate his business on a smaller scale and go mobile. Remi’s very supportive and Justin’s excited with just only one more hurdle – make sure Leah approves of the plan, even though he actioned it before talking with her first…
