Remi is drinking at Salt and updates Justin on Eden’s dire condition, including the fact she could die. Later, Remi’s still going when Amelia comes past and insists, he’ll pay whatever is needed to fix it, but she explains that won’t help. She’s not purposely being vague, but they don’t know the best path forward yet. The best thing Remi can do to help is to be there for his friend and be there with a clear head. Remi puts down his whiskey.
Tane and Harper are in full lockdown, preparing in case Beau shows up. Tane has checked the locked doors multiple times and Harper clocks it, wishing things could be normal as she updates Dana. Harper decides they need to go for a walk, feeling if Beau was going to break the AVO, he would’ve done it by now. As they walk along the beach, she checks her location sharing app showing Beau in the city, though Tane feels she should delete the app immediately.
Safely back at home, Remi returns and Harper’s worried she and Archie have outstayed their welcome and Tane agrees to help her move back to her place in the morning. But as he’s headed to the Surf Club, he gets a sudden call from Harper asking for him to come home right away – she checked the app again, and now Beau is here – in Summer Bay!
As David and Amelia wind up their impromptu beach picnic date, she dodges his question of her own family history, diverting to dip their feet in the water. But the romance hits a snag as they come up from the beach and run into Jo and Lacey. Amelia excuses herself, leaving David’s daughters to quiz him about his date. Jo helps him articulate that Amelia is going to be in his life going forward, and it might help Lacey accept that if she gets to know her better. So, all four sit down to dinner at Salt and Amelia admits she’s nervous – this is worse than ‘meet the parents’.
Lacey’s forward, ready to grill Amelia. But soon Amelia has David and Jo enjoying her stories, each with a strong perspective of what it means to work emergencies during a full moon – and Lacey feels clueless about the concept and left out. She excuses herself and David catches up to her where Lacey insists she’s okay, because she knows her dad really likes Amelia.
Marilyn drops off Zane’s details to Leah – bank account, superannuation, and mobile phone number. He’s all setup and she suggests to Alf perhaps now would be a good time to head home as an opportunity to get to know Zane better. But Alf has no time for that and busies himself with Surf Club work. That night, Alf comes in for a burger and chips, and Leah calls him out for avoiding Zane. Alf argues he’s just being a little cautious. The next morning, when Marilyn laments to Leah there’s been no progress, Leah suggests it’s time they trap them under the same roof so Alf can’t run and hide.
