Home and Away airs on 5STAR at 6:30pm
Sonny and Dana walk along the beach, and he’s suffering from withdrawal. She gets word from Harper that Beau might be in town right now, so they head home. Dana feels it will be safe there, Beau would have to be stupid to turn up where the police expect him.
Although he’s battling through his symptoms, Sonny probes Dana for more information about her sister, but she’s short with her answers and shows little sympathy. She doesn’t know what the plan is, she just wants to back Harper no matter what. Sonny apologises for asking too many questions as Dana walks out to see her sister – leaving Sonny to grasp at the wall to hold himself up – he’s in a world of pain.
Harper’s on the phone with the police and David’s sending out a patrol car but unfortunately, the fact her phone app shows Beau’s location isn’t enough evidence to prove he’s breaking the AVO. Harper’s riddled with guilt for turning the app on at all, and Tane encourages her to focus – get rid of it right now and they’ll figure out a plan. They decide it’s best she takes Archie to Tane’s cousin’s place, and they keep as far away from Beau as possible.
Dana arrives and gets the update, sad she can’t join her sister but knows Sonny really needs her right now. Dana says a heartfelt goodbye and Tane offers to swap phones with Harper – making certain Beau can’t track her… or is there another reason? Alone in his car, Beau gets a text from Harper’s phone wanting to meet up but in reality, it’s Tane setting a trap…
Back at home, Sonny’s world is spinning and he’s not coping. He pulls himself together with enough energy to visit the gym and returns with his backpack… and the steroids he has left. He gets a pill ready on the counter and shoves the bottle back into his pack, just as Dana walks in the door to notice. She tries to grab the bag off him, but he resists and the result is a bottle of steroids smashing across the floor – Sonny’s caught red-handed.
Leah and Marilyn form a plan to ambush Alf into a lunch where he’ll need to get to know Zane better. Justin’s sceptical, but is forced to tag along with the plan, and Marilyn makes a point of not inviting John, considering his hesitancy with accepting Zane when he first arrived. Soon enough, they arrive to a tense conversation between Zane and Alf, and bombard them with lunch, strategically placing Zane next to Alf on the table.
Meanwhile, John complains to Mali about being left out of the lunch, and against Mali’s better judgement, John shows up anyway to interrupt. Alf tries to use that as his excuse to leave, but Justin beats him to it, and Alf is forced to sit back down as Justin escorts John back to the Surf Club.
After the lunch, Alf explains he knew the whole thing was a setup, and Zane wants to be clear – it seems obvious he’s making Alf uncomfortable in his own home and wants to move out as soon as Alf needs, but rather than answer that question, Alf invites Zane to give him a hand at the bait shop. Zane and Alf head out and Marilyn takes a breath – mission successful.
