Corrie airs at 8.30pm on ITV1
Coronation Street has released a dramatic first look trailer of Sarah Barlow’s long awaited court case.
Sarah, played by Tina O’Brien, was arrested in July on suspicion of murdering Theo Silverton.
In flashback scenes to the night of his death on April 23rd viewers saw Sarah kill Theo with a scaffolding pole after confronting him about his violent abuse of her friend Todd Grimshaw.
Now after months behind bars on remand Sarah will get the chance to fight for her freedom as she tries to convince the jury that she acted in self defense.
The atmospheric promo shows a terrified Sarah in the dock whilst a voiceover is heard calling her a ‘cold blooded murderer’ and a frightened Sarah says ‘I think we need to prepare for the worst’.
Tina O’Brien said: “Sarah is absolutely terrified, she has been desperate for this day to come but the reality of being brought up from the cells and standing in the dock is overwhelming. As the prosecution case is laid out she is not sure things will go her way.”
Will Sarah walk free from court or will the jury find her guilty of murder?
The dramatic episodes will air from Wednesday October 14th on ITV, ITVX, STV and YouTube.
Catch up on ITVX, and for classic visits to Corrie, these episodes air weekdays on ITV3 as well as on YouTube.
