Hollyoaks get the star treatment as Alison Hammond makes cameo

She once screamed on ‘This Morning’ as she went on a Roller coaster but TV’s Alison Hammond pops into the village next week paying Maxine (Nikki Sanderson) a visit

Maxine steps up her bid for attention from Damon after they row at their engagement party. She phones ITV’s This Morning show and gives Alison Hammond a sob story about how she is terminally ill and alone. The show is so touched that the viewers raise money and Alison pops into the village to present Maxine with a cheque.

Damon is less than happy when he finds out that Maxine has exploited her illness in such a way and storms off.

Is this one step too far for Maxine?
