Thursday 25th of March 2021, RTE One, 8:00pm – 8:30pm

Mairead, having pushed Damien away, finds solace in a friend. Further entangled in a web of deceit, Mairead is left conflicted. Seán and Cass are hoodwinked by a shrewd Vinny. Juliet, tempted by a fast-track to success, makes a bold decision that’s fraught with risks.

It’s the most will they won’t they wedding ever to occur in Carrigstown as the big day for Damien and Mairead looms ever closer. On Sunday night viewers watched as Damien told Mairead he couldn’t marry her, then on Tuesday Tommy told Mairead that Damien cheated on her, not knowing that Damien hadn’t actually told her WHY he couldn’t marry her.

Flash forward to Thursday night and buoyed by her newfound freedom, Mairead indulges Tommy Dillon in a little ‘afternoon delight’ after inviting him to stay for a little lunch.  Little do either of them know that Dearbhla is the one Damien slept with – one way of keeping it in the family!

Speaking ahead of the tonight’s episode, the understated ladies’ man Geoff Minogue could give Paul Brennan a run for his money; ‘Despite Tommy doing his best to help the situation, just like Kryptonite to Superman, women are his greatest weakness’.

With little to nothing in common, both sit in silence following their midweek midday tryst not knowing how to break the awkwardness between them. But later on, Mairead tells Tommy she needs to tell Damien the truth. Fearful of how Damien will react, Tommy reminds her that he is the grandad of Damien’s daughter Saoirse and that they have to keep it between themselves.

Can Mairead put it behind her and try repair her relationship with Damien and make it up that aisle or are there too many secrets and lies at this stage between them both? And what does this mean for Jane and Tommy?
