Monday 6th February 2023

Ethan explains to Marcus and Naomi that Greg is trying to discredit the complaint. Unsure what to do about the injustice of it all, Ethan reveals that he’s considering dropping the investigation and quitting his job. Naomi reveals to Marcus that she has an idea to help swing the scales of justice in Ethan’s favour. Naomi’s plan takes shape but looks set to fail as Nate refuses to be bait and Marcus voices concerns. But when Naomi stresses Ethan could lose his career, Nate agrees and heads off to the bar, catching Greg’s eye. Greg approaches and offers to buy Nate a drink – the plan is finally in motion. With his phone recording, Nate is shyly standing by the bar with Greg as they flirt. Will the plan to honeytrap Greg work?

Bear reveals he’s set up a double date, Paddy, remains polite but is horrified that he’s being forcibly thrown back into the dating pool. Bear isn’t getting the hint that Paddy isn’t in the right headspace for all this socialising as he encourages him to hit the town with their dates Carol and Bev. Paddy thinks up an excuse and sighs with relief as Bear leaves with Carol and Bev.

Bob is left contemplating how to get Bernice and Nicola to make peace before war breaks out again.

Tuesday 7th February 2023

Chas is taken aback when she thinks she overhears Paddy bragging about being single. Shortly after, when Chas flirtatiously banters with Kev the drayman, Paddy is cut deep. Chas puts Paddy in his place over his controlling behaviour and reminds him that it’s his choice to remain living with her. Mandy is concerned as the exchange leaves Paddy looking bereft.

Wednesday 8th February 2023

Paddy tries to hide from Mandy but has no luck. As Paddy admits he’s lost, Mandy wordlessly moves in to hold broken Paddy. Mandy knows how hard it can be to move forward when you still love someone. Paddy is quietly struck by Mandy’s observation and senses that perhaps she knows how he feels right now. Back at the Woolpack, as they open a bottle of wine, Paddy and Mandy both find themselves coyly avoiding making eye contact – as the implication of Mandy’s words hangs between them. As the afternoon draws on, Paddy and Mandy reminisce through music and dissolve into helpless, cathartic, alcohol-fuelled laughter. Mandy wrestles with her conscience as she locks eyes with drunk Paddy

Mack tries to join in Charity’s happy banter but remains haunted by the secret guilt he’s carrying.

Thursday 9th February 2023

Mackenzie reveals to Chloe that he’s going to tell Charity about the baby. They both don’t realise that Sarah has just come back out of her bedroom and has overheard them from upstairs. Chloe’s flummoxed as she realises Mackenzie is not backing down and he’s going to tell Charity the truth today. Mackenzie encourages her to leave but Chloe has nowhere to go. Sarah is still listening upstairs. Chloe’s determined to stand her ground and stay; she doesn’t want to be thrown to the wolves by Mackenzie. Then, just as Mackenzie and Chloe are about to reveal their secret to Charity, Sarah comes stumbling down the stairs, struggling to breathe. Charity instructs Mack to call an ambulance whilst Sarah hyperventilates.

Cathy is enjoying her birthday gathering but as Bob and Brenda spy on the kids, Brenda breaks the news to Bob that Cathy has been taking the pill. Bob is upset to have been kept in the dark. Cathy is mortified when Bob approaches her about her heavy periods; bursting into a fit of rage, Cathy orders her party guests to leave and Bob is left blindsided. Can he find a way to be there for his daughter?

In A & E Sarah is wheeled off for medical treatment. Mack holds emotional Charity and looks across to Chloe; it seems the plans to tell the truth are on hold. Upset Charity confides in Mackenzie, worried about Sarah’s life expectancy. Chloe clocks a doctor walking purposefully towards them and Charity is left terrified, knowing there’s news…

Samson’s intrigued as he learns through gossiping Brenda that Noah’s trust fund is being transferred over to an account for baby Esther.
