In this heart-warming episode, newly reunited couple Juliet and Peri escape to Brighton, creating treasured memories amidst Juliet’s cancer treatment as Hollyoaks brings light to the issue storyline.
The week begins where Juliet has a PET scan today to determine if her cancer treatment is working. Peri is taken by surprise when Juliet shows such an interest in Ste and James’ wedding planning, which leads to her opening up about her difficult childhood, and always wanting to go to the seaside.
Feeling inspired, Peri surprises her with the idea to go to Brighton whilst they wait for the scan results. However, when Peri can’t afford to foot the bill, she turns to Ste and James for help. James is reluctant at first, thinking it’s not worth the risk to his sister’s health, but Ste persuades him to help.
Peri has pulled out all the stops as the couple take in their deluxe suite and views of the beautiful town. The pair have the time of their lives as they enjoy the seaside, and a prize from the arcades leads to the pair sharing a special moment on the Brighton beach.
We later see the couple partying the night away until Peri realises all of their belongings are missing… The girls need a miracle to help them get back to Chester, and, suddenly their fairy drag mother, Ru Paul’s Drag Race winner Danny Beard, saves the day…
The following day Juliet, Peri and Danny Beard wake up in Brighton with fierce hangovers, but with the drag race superstar on a tight deadline, the group start their journey back to Hollyoaks village, in Danny’s drag wagon. Peri and Danny promise to make the most of the drive back to Chester to keep Juliet’s mind as far away from the thought of her scan results.
During a pitstop, Danny livestreams to their fans, but an offensive comment makes Juliet break down. However, some words of wisdom and a makeover might be the spirit lift that she needs…
Later, Peri breaks down to Nadira at the hospital, as the pair confide in one another….
