Coronation Street spoilers – Monday 21 August 2023: Michael gets embroiled in Cassie’s dodgy dealings

Peter confides in Ryan about his debt to Rufus’s wife and asks for help. Ryan promises to assist and decides to work extra shifts to earn money. However, Carla becomes upset when she realizes that Peter has been pressuring Ryan.

Meanwhile, Todd finds a discarded card from Troy at Rest Easy and seeks advice from Glenda about his career future. Glenda suggests asking for a pay raise, but when George is evasive, Todd decides to meet with Troy. Troy offers Todd a job with an impressive salary, and Todd agrees to consider it.

Also, Billy notices Paul struggling with his right leg, but Paul tries to hide his dismay at his condition worsening. Billy provides a walking aid, but suggests a wheelchair instead, which Paul rejects.

Elsewhere, Cassie deceives Tyrone about going to the Citizens Advice Bureau and instead meets her drug dealer, Dean, who becomes aggressive due to her unpaid debt. Michael intervenes and takes Cassie to the hospital, where Dean follows them. Ronnie witnesses a confrontation between Michael and Dean, and while Ronnie suggests involving the police, Cassie asks him not to. Michael reveals to Ronnie that similar situations frequently occur with Aggie, which shocks Ronnie and leads him to propose a deal to Ed so that Aggie can retire.
