CASUALTY RETURNS TO SCREENS IN LETHAL LEGACY – THE SUSPENSE FILLED CONTINUATION OF THE BAFTA WINNING MEDICAL DRAMA
Still reeling from a devastating loss, the team fights to survive as a suspected pandemic threatens to overwhelm the ED. Streaming on BBC iPlayer and BBC One from Saturday 25 April.
The trailer has been released for the new nail-biting 12-part series of the BAFTA award-winning medical drama Casualty. In Lethal Legacy, the hospital and its residents must face harsh truths as long-buried secrets resurface. Trouble within the military casts a shadow, and strained relationships come to the fore as the team struggle to keep the ED afloat as a mysterious illness strikes Holby.
With a surge in patients with an unexplained virus and the ED buckling under the strain, the army is deployed to keep the peace, forcing Flynn (Olly Rix) to face a past he believed was long behind him.
Still reeling from their recent loss, Stevie (Elinor Lawless) and Matty (Aron Julius) turn to an unexpected source of comfort, a choice that pushes Dylan (William Beck) away from the son he’s only just begun to know.
Elsewhere, Jodie (Anna Chell) uncovers a disturbing truth buried deep within a local estate, risking everything to expose it. With old wounds reopening and trust wearing thin, the team must pull together or watch everything unravel.
Facing off against the team this series is the domineering Colonel Jack Bard (Mark Womack), whose powerful hold over his subordinates, and ties to Flynn, threaten to shake the bedrock of the ED when history begins to repeat itself.
Lethal Legacy is poised to be an action-filled exploration of the impact the past can have and how it can be challenged, reshaped, and ultimately broken.
